Who is this Lew bloke anyway?
Lewis ‘SEPTiMUS’ Lane – is officially a web developer from Middlesbrough, England. Unofficially however, he is an animator, programmer, designer, photographer, editor – in fact he’s made it his life’s ambition to be accurately described by any verb ending in ‘er’ or ‘or’. Some would say if you counted the negative words that encompasses, he’s half-way there.
He was only just a child of the 80s, and is thankfully too young to remember all those silly clothes – however this period did provide him some of his most important influences. He loves 80s graphic design, retro computers, chip music and all the other wonderful stuff that happened all around the same time.
Born with Spina bifida occulta, this has thus shaped his choices rather than inhibited them, and was directly responsible for his current love of computers and technology. It also allowed him the time to become knowledgeable on many completely unrelated subjects, which continues to annoy his friends, family and co-workers.

Lew drives a Mk3 Mazda MX-5 2 litre Sport coupé cabriolet (to give it its full name) rather too vigorously, though has so far managed to avoid crashing it. Cars have been a recent interest, and he regularly attends Santa Pod to watch top fuel drag racing. Having no real regard for personal safety, he is also actively pursuing the purchase of a motorbike.
When the sun is shining, he will generally be found somewhere in the Yorkshire Dales driving at exactly the legal speed limit with the roof down and Opeth playing loudly.

Other interests include:
- Paintball
- Hiking/exploring
- Cooking
- Movies
- Online gaming
